Inn Policies
Reservations:
- Room rates are for 2008 and based on single or double occupancy
- Prices do not include 11% room tax. A portion of this tax benefits local tourism.
- A 2 night stay is required for all weekends booked in May, June, July, Aug, Oct.
- The Dane Emerson House welcomes guests 14 years and older.
- We do not accommodate pets.
- The innkeeper will confirm all reservation requests by emailing or phoning you. At that time, a deposit of 50% is processed. A 100% deposit is required for all Ithaca College and Cornell graduation reservations.
- The Dane Emerson House accepts checks, Master Card, Visa, and American Express.
- Checks can be mailed directly to the Dane Emerson House and will be deposited. Please mail these within 3 days of reservation request confirmation.
- Credit card deposits can be made by accessing the Availability link above. All information is secure, however if necessary, the credit card deposit can be made by phoning the innkeeper. Deposits are charged to the card at the time reservations are made, either on line, or phoned in. In-house credits
will be issued for cancellations. Credits can be used at any time and will not expire.
Cancellations:
Every effort is made to accommodate guests. Hotel chains can absorb the average cancellation with little effort – the Innkeeper cannot. For this reason, the cancellation policy is strictly adhered to. Guests making cancellations after the deposit has been made, will receive an in-house credit for the full amount. This credit will not expire. Credits can be given as gifts provided we are notified prior to re-booking.
Should it be necessary for a guest to depart earlier than the confirmed departure date, an in-house credit will be issued for any unused portion of the deposit.
Special events wherein the entire house is rented – i.e. for wedding receptions, etc. – require a 90 day cancellation notice in writing by letter or email. Original deposits of 25% are not refundable, and credit is not issued.
Check-in & Check-out
- check-in is from 3 pm to 8 pm
- check-out is no later than 11 am
Special arrangements can be made in advance with the Innkeeper should your schedule require flexibility. Please understand if the room has been booked to another guest, late check-out may not be possible. Every effort will be made to accommodate guest requests.
Additional Information
- Stays of 4 nights and longer receive a 10% discount.
- Single weekend nights may become available, please inquire.
- Special arrangements can be made to accommodate some dietary needs. Please provide a request by email or traditional mail at least one week prior to your stay.
- A smoking area is provided outside the house with a lovely view of the back acreage. There is no smoking in the house.
- Parking is plentiful.
- Wireless internet access is available throughout the house.
- While we are not equipped to accommodate wheelchairs, special arrangements
can be made to aid guests with limited mobility. These arrangements must be made
before reservations are confirmed. - Special events, and Special Package requests may require different handling of payment.
