Inn Policies

Reservations:

  • Room rates are for 2010 and double occupancy only, 2 guests per room.Fine Art Image
  • Prices do not include 11% room tax.
  • A two night stay is required for all weekend nights booked May through October. Sunday nights are included in this policy.  Exceptions may be made for rooms where 2 consecutive nights are not available.
  • The Dane Emerson House welcomes guests 14 years and older.
  • Regretfully we do not accommodate pets.
  • The innkeeper will confirm all reservation requests by emailing or phoning you. At that time, a deposit of 50% is processed ( 100% deposits are required for graduation weekends ). The Dane Emerson House accepts cash, Master Card, Visa, and American Express.
  • A 100% deposit is necessary for any reservation made within 5 days of the arrival date.
  • Credit card deposits can be made by reserving a room using the Availability link above. All information is secure, however if necessary, the credit card deposit can be made by phoning the innkeeper. Deposits are charged to the card at the time reservations are made, either on line, or phoned.

    Cancellations:

    Rooms/nights at a b&b are the primary source of income and treated as a commodity. Hotel chains can absorb the average cancellation and loss of income with little effect – the Innkeeper cannot. The cancellation policy is strictly adhered to.

    May through September-
    Guests making cancellations after the deposit has been made, will receive an in-house credit for the deposit amount unless the room can be rebooked. The innkeeper will make every effort to rebook the room(s) and will notify the guest by email if the room rebooks. A refund will be issued for the deposit amount less $25.00 for handling and to cover any fees charged by the banks.  If an in-house credit is issued, it will not expire and can be given as a gift.
    October through April- no refunds will be given for any cancellations. In-house credits will be given for all cancellations whether rooms rebook or not.
    Cancellations made within 7 days of the arrival date, and the room(s) did not rebook, will result
    in the full room rates charged to the guest credit card. This full amount then turns in to an in-house credit.
    Should it be necessary for a guest to depart earlier than the confirmed departure date, the guest will be charged for the full stay unless the room can be rebooked. The innkeeper will make every effort to rebook the room(s) and will notify the guest if the room rebooks by email. 

    Check-in & Check-out
  • check-in is from 3 pm to 8 pm
  • check-out is no later than 11 am

Additional Information

  • Stays of 4 nights and longer receive a 10% discount. Not valid when other discounts are offered.
  • A smoking area is provided outside the house with a lovely view of the back acreage. There is no smoking in the house. A $500.00 cleaning fee will be charged for any infringement with no exceptions.
  • Safe parking is plentiful.
  • 2 night minimums are required for many weekend nights including Sunday. See calendar for details.
  • A late check-in may not be available Sunday nights.
  • Long distance phone calls made on the house phone will be charged back to the guest credit card with a handling fee of $25.00.
  • Damage to rooms can come in many forms. Any damage will be assessed and a dollar value assigned. The dollar value will then be charged back to the credit card. This occurrence is rare, and with the proper respect shown to the property will not be necessary.
